Which activities can be funded by BNTF?
Eligible sub-projects include:
Development of potable water systems;
Improvements in health and educational facilities;

Creation of better access through the construction of roads, drains and
footpaths;
Construction/rehabilitation of facilities that enhance the physical
environment of the
elderly, infirm or children at risk and those living
with HIV/AIDS;
Skills training and upgrading for employment and self-employment;
Skills training for health professionals in counseling and other
services to help those at risk
of infection, and those living with
HIV/AIDS, including preparation of educational and promotional
material;
Community empowerment and capacity building, (e.g. leadership
skills and institution building);
Repair and construction of community retail-based facilities (e.g. crafts
market).

Who can submit sub-project requests for funding?
Community Groups, Non-Government Organization, Government Organizations or Agencies or Community Based Organizations wherein:
Each sub-project, irrespective of who made the initial request, must
have the sponsorship of the targeted
community or group;
Sub-project beneficiaries are expected to be involved in the
preparation, design, implementation,
monitoring and maintenance of
each sub-project implemented;
Facilities must be community/government owned and/or assisted;
Sub-projects will be eligible if they meet defined, criteria including
needs asessments fall within the BNTF
Poverty Reduction Action Plan.

The South Caicos Regatta is a big event in South Caicos. It is an annual island party attracting locals from throughout the islands and adventurous visitors in large fishing yachts. This memorable event is held around the end of May each year.
