|
Delton Jones, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance who led the Technical Evaluation Panel, commented on the transparency of the process and the selection of ColinaImperial as Preferred Bidder, saying that: "The results of the due diligence processes proved that the company had an exceptional reputation in the market. ColinaImperial is one of the largest private health insurers in the region and has established technology expertise with Plexis Healthcare Systems whose products and services are critical to the successful running of a national health insurance plan. Its wealth of experience, financial soundness, technological capabilities and organizational structure were a major consideration".
Mr. Jones reiterated that once the negotiations are successfully concluded, one of Colina Imperial’s responsibilities during its limited term 5-year contract, they will be responsible for transferring skills and knowledge on operations of health insurance to the local employees of the NHIP.
